Krka National Park is located along the Krka River in central Dalmatia, just few kilometers of the city of Šibenik. It is one of the popular Croatian national parks, named after the beautiful river Krka. National park was formed to protect the Krka River and is intended primarily for cultural, educational, scientific, tourism and other activities. It was proclaimed a national park in 1985.
