Motovun

With our first glance at Motovun it will become clear that we are approaching an extraordinary medieval town. It is situated on top of a hill and it is a city dominated by the architecture of the Venetian era. Motovun has recently become a popular tourist destination and is visited by many tourists staying on the west coast of Istria. The Motovun forest is a real treasure trove of truffles, an underground mushroom, which represent an appreciated gastronomic specialty, also considered an aphrodisiac.

Rabac

Rabac is a popular tourist resort on Kvarner Bay, southeast of Labin, in Istria. By the middle of the 19th century, it was a small fishermen village. Due to the amazing bay and tame surroundings, it soon attracted visitors. The first hotel named Quarnaro was opened in 1889. During sixties this resort got the flattering name of The Pearl of Kvarner Bay. Today, there are three major hotels and a camping site, which are located on the main beach. Many different apartments are available for rent along the Riva.

Vrsar

Vrsar is a picturesque coastal town in Istria, Croatia. From Porec is just nine kilometers away. The inhabitants are mostly fishermen and winegrowers. Before the coast is a line of green islets. On the nearby hills are remains of Illyrian castles. From Roman settlement Usaria are traces in the port and its surroundings. From the Middle Ages have preserved the western town gates. Along them is the Church of St. Mary of the Sea, which is one of the most valuable Istrian Romanesque buildings.
